EMDR Gold Standard Refresher:
With Theory and Practice
Kalani Retreat Center, Hawaii
Monday. June 25, 2018
9:00am to 4:00pm
Participants will receive 6.00 EMDRIA CEC's
presented by Donald F. deGraffenried, LCSW
EMDR Senior Trainer
This one-day intensive workshop in EMDR therapy will combine a refresher on the theory of EMDR therapy, practical information about its use in community mental health settings and a practicum to strengthen skill with clients. The workshop will be held 9:00 to 4:00 at Kalani and offers 6.00 EMDRIA CEC's.
Workshop participants will review their existing EMDR therapy knowledge and continue to develop their existing baseline of training, with an eye towards identifying competency and expanding practice comfort.
Participants will review the eight phases of EMDR treatment, with attention to client safely, engagement and working with both under activated and over activated clients. The workshop will focus on the development of the negative cognition, resuming reprocessing of an unfinished target, processing triggers and future templates.
Cognitive interweaves will be briefly explored with innovative ways of offering these to clients.
